Paw-Ink* was conceived last summer, during a brainstorm for Illustrationshare's mascot competition. [link]
Although he promiced potential, the fact that there are so many pandas in role of mascots around was a check-stopper so Paw-ink was soon ousted in favour of a more exotic and changelling chameleon called Chamillu. [link]
This giant panda would remain in sketchbook obscurity up until very recently, when I was searching for an easy subject to experiment with vectors. Even though the experimentation didn't go well, Paw-Ink found his way in Photoshop and it seems that he will soon be on a T-shirt too (and maybe a mug as well)
As for the change in the signature? The illustrations with Paw-Ink were so basic that I felt a simpler sig was required. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping it, I'm definitely thinking about it
P.S. Since I'm in submitting mode, I'll be making a few tiny corrections to 'falso panda' [link] --Paw-Ink's first appearance on the DA stage and the illustration I'll be using as a T-shirt design
*Or perhaps Ink-Paw? I preffer the way it sounds, but Paw-Ink sounds more chinese and... bouncier. Suggestions?
